A new affordable and simple to use touch-screen phone has been unveiled by LG. The LG GD510 features a three-inch wide high resolution (WQVGA) display, while a single hard key below the screen serves as a multipurpose button in that it can be used to access the menu as well as doubling up as an end and cancel key, changing colour depending on the function. The LG GD510 also known as the "Pop" features a three-megapixel camera and a media player that will be able to play both music and movies in a variety of different formats.
Although no pricing has been announced as of yet, LG claims the phone will follow in the footsteps of the LG KP500 Cookie that was billed as being an "affordable touch-screen". To date the LG Cookie has sold over 7 million units worldwide, so the manufacturer will certainly be hoping for similar success with the LG Pop GD510.
The LG GD510 will be available from Carphone Warehouse from November.
