The Samsung Omnia Pro, officially announced in June, has undergone design changes prior to its final release on October 6th.
The mobile phone, whose official title is the Samsung Omnia Pro B7610, has experienced a few changes in the make-up of the chassis with the navigation keys redesigned and the camera flash position moved. In addition, the initial, official release stated that Windows Mobile 6.1 would be the supporting operating system. After initial speculation, confirmation has arrived that this has been changed to Windows Mobile 6.5, according to the Samsung Hub website.
The phone, based upon a 800MHz CPU, arrives with a 3.5in AMOLED WVGA screen plus a fast data transfer facility based upon HSDPA, Wi-Fi for wireless connections to the Internet, GPS for location finding a 5-megapixel camera built in and, for music fans, enhanced DNSe 3D sound - which sounds rather impressive. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone socket and DivX video playback.
