Reports are now being received that the new Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 mobile phone - which is also known as Rachael - will be released in 2010. That's the bad news. However, the good news is that the same reports indicate that January will be the most likely month of release. So the waiting time is not too long.
Unlike the recently announced Xperia X2 (which is based on Windows Mobile 6.5), the Xperia X3 does not have a hardware QWERTY keyboard. It does, however, have a 4in touchscreen display packing in 800 x 400 pixels and will be powered by the beefy 1GHZ Snapdragon CPU, according to the Mobile Crunch website Other features will include Wi-Fi for wireless Internet connections, GPS for location finding, a 3.5 headphone socket for music fans and a new user interface, which will be placed over the Android operating system.
