Despite being busy releasing the Galaxy Lite and messaging phones such as the B3410, Samsung has announced that its popular Star handset will soon be re-released in an upgraded format to include Wi-Fi.
The handset, previously known as the Samsung S5230 Star, will now be known as the Samsung S5230W Star Wi-Fi and will include 802.11 b/g connectivity to enable users to connect to the internet wirelessly, according to the Softpedia website.
The Star features a large, three-inch touch-screen display that includes WQVGA resolution and haptic feedback while packing in 262k colours. Samsung's own TouchWiz user interface is present and correct, allowing you to house widgets on the screen. The handset also sports a 3.2-megapixel camera.
Available in black, silver, pink and white, the Samsung S5230W Star Wi-Fi is available now. Samsung didn't reveal an official price for the upgraded mobile.
