Samsung's fight against breast cancer

Samsung is to release a special edition of the S5230 mobile phone in an effort to aid the fight against breast cancer.

The new edition of the handset will be known as the Samsung Star Think Pink and will arrive with a pink ribbon on the rear of the chassis. Working in conjunction with the Think Pink charity, which helps to fight the disease, Samsung has announced that it will donate €10 to the charity for every handset that is sold, according to the Samsung Hub.

The Star S5230 includes a three-inch touch-screen, TouchWiz UI, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, stereo FM radio and 3.2-megapixel camera.

Available in Belguim initially, the new handset will be sold from 1 October on a limited basis until the end of December 2009. The Samsung Star Think Pink will be priced at €149.
