Palm today unveiled its latest handset across the pond in the great US of A. The good news is, it also expects the Palm Pixi to arrive on these shores very soon.
Operating on the Palm webOS platform, despite packing a full QWERTY keyboard and a touch-screen, the Palm has kept the Pixi impressively svelte. Social networking is at the heart of the Palm Pixi with integrated Facebook, which has been updated to enable you to see and comment on any updates from friends as well as update your own status. Palm's Synergy tool also enables users to continue instant messaging conversations via text with all the information viewed in a one chat-style thread.
Customers will also be able to download applications from the Palm Beta App Catalog, as well as sync their music, photos and videos with iTunes. Other features include 8GB of internal storage, integrated GPS and a 3.5mm headset jack.
It certainly sounds the part, let's just hope the murmurs are true and we see this little bad boy before too long.
