Along with its release of LG's GM750 and Blackberry Curve 8520 phones, Vodafone has announced eight mobile phones that will be released under its own brand. The new handsets will range from stylish and expensive, upmarket, phones to the more practical, low-end types.
The Vodafone 533 Catwalk Collection is a stylish slider featuring a display packing in 176 x 220 pixels, Bluetooth 2.0, FM radio, Vodafone Mail and a 1.3-megapixel camera. The Crystal variant includes 126 crystals sourced in Austria, dressed by CRYSTALLIZED, arriving with a logo, and CRYSTALLIZED Swarovski Elements animations.
The Vodafone 1240 is a candybar model offering 3G HSDPA, a 262k QVGA screen a 2-megapixel camera and Visto push email.
The Vofadone 840 arrives with a 2.8in QVGA screen, finger touch UI, 3G and multimedia capabilities.
The Vodafone 541 is a 2G touch tablet with a 2.4in screen, QVGA. Available in Europe under PAYG, the handset will include a 1.3-megapixel camera.
The Vodafone 540 offers a candy bar chassis, a 2-in TFT display, Opera Mini browser, 2-megapixel camera, messaging and multimedia features.
Finally, the entry level Vodafone 340 is a 2.5G device with a 1.8in screen and a FM radio and provides, web, messaging and music features.
Prices have still to be revealed and availability is categorized as "soon".
