No sooner has Nokia announced a raft of new mobile hardware including the X6 and N900 phones along with Sony Ericsson's news on the new Xperia X2 handset, then LG get's in on the act with its announcement of three mobile phones based on Microsoft's new operating system, Windows Mobile 6.5, according to the Newswire website.
Primary amongst the announcement is the LG GW550 which was mooted by observers back in June. Offering a visual likeness to Nokia's popular E71 smartphone, the QWERTY keyboard-packed chassis provides a QVGA resolution screen with support for HSDPA for fast data transfer plus a built in camera rated at a reasonable 3-megapixels.
Little is known about the other two devices, at the moment however all three will include LG's S-Class 3D user interface. A European release is expect in "a few week's". No price details have yet been released.
