Behold the HTC Touch2

HTC has announced that their new HTC Touch2 smartphone will be one of the first devices to run on the Windows Mobile 6.5 platform. This upgraded platform will mean users will be able to download a host of applications from the Windows Marketplace in a similar way to that of the Android market or Apple App Store. My Phone is another addition to Windows Mobile 6.5, which enables users to automatically back up and synch photos, music, contacts and text messages for free via the web.

The HTC Touch2 itself offers a full touch-screen experience utilizing the manufacturers TouchFLO user interface. Other features include the re-designed Internet Explorer Mobile that displays web pages in a desktop style manner while also supporting Adobe Flash meaning Flash video content such as YouTube can be displayed easily.

The HTC Touch2 will be introduced to the market on October 6 2009.
