News has reached us that Nokia is planning to release another laptop - well, a Smartbook, as it has been termed - in addition to the Booklet 3G that has already been revealed - for release next year.
Now that Nokia has decided to enter the small form factor laptop market (along with its closer alliance with Microsoft), there appears to be no stopping the Finnish outfit because, according to the DigiTimes website, the mobile giant is already planning a second machine but, this time, to be powered by an ARM chip.
The new product could be launched during the middle of 2010, and it will probably be manufactured by Foxconn Electronics or Compal Electronics. Unfortunately, further details are unavailable.
Meanwhile, the Booklet 3G, which is powered by an Intel Atom processor and comes with an HDMI port for HD video on a big screen, webcam and SD card slot, might not be released during this year, according to sources who believe that an early 2010 release may be more likely.
