The Blackberry Storm 2 has appeared in two new, rather lengthy, videos illustrating its new facilities including the newly revealed Piezo technology.
Yes, the Blackberry 2 has already appeared in video form. However, now that original has largely disappeared from many websites on the Internet, the two new entries are welcome, especially as they show the new Piezo technology in operation. Piezo is RIM's weapon to not only improve the touchscreen operation of its display in comparision to the original Storm mobile but, say observers, to actually make the touchscreen - which no longer moves from side to side - much friendlier to use than Apple's iPhone. The Wireless and Mobile News website, in fact, declares that Piezo allows multitouch touchscreen operations to become more precise while the feel of the screen is much like "pushing on a sponge".
Other features include Wi-Fi and two sub-flavours for the Storm 2: the 9550 variant for CDMA and the 9520 for GSM.
No new price or release details were revealed.
