The HTC Mega has appeared in a new photo along with confirmation that it will be based upon Microsoft's new Mobile 6.5 operating system.

The Mega, which is part of a new group of smartphones soon to appear from HTC along with the Click and Leo, will arrive with the TouchFlo interface over the top of the Windows Mobile 6.5 - the UI will be the 2D flavour, however, not 3D, according to the Ai.Rs website.
Other details include quad-band GSM connectivity, fast data transfer via HSDPA and a 2.8in touchscreen that squeezes in 240 x 320 pixels. You also get Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 plus EDR, a 3.2-megapixel camera and a microSD slot.
