Gresso, the Russian manufacturer of luxury mobile phones such as the Lady Gold and Skeleton Gold handsets, has announced a new range of designs that, says the company, are based upon the sport of Formula 1.
Given the Gresso Grand Monaco moniker, the new handsets, named Black Ceramic Black Carbon and Metallic Ceramic Black Carbon, have been built from similar materials used in and around the motor sport such as 'titanium superalloy', advanced ceramic materials and carbon. According to the company, the keypad is, "Absolutely flat, it is made out of a single sheet of polished steel 100 micron thick. The keyboard plate under vacuum is covered with ultra strong titanium Black PVD, which makes the surface mirror like black and scratchproof." However, as you might expect, that's not all, the phones will also feature 42k sapphire crystal to frame the display.
The phones will include GSM / GPRS / EDGE connectivity, a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth and email. Issued as limited editions, the handsets will be priced around £1,300 each.
