Additional details and images have been revealed on the forthcoming Huawei U8220, which will be badged by T-Mobile as the Pulse along with a release date and price point.
The Android-powered handset will, according to observers who spotted the new handset on a Dutch retailer's website, be released in October of this year for €257 but should be available too as part of a cheaper, contract-based suite of deals.
The new handset will be based upon a 3.5in touchscreen display that packs in 320 x 480 pixels while data transfer will be speedy as it supports HSDPA at 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA at 5.76 Mbps. Wi-Fi is included for the high-speed wireless connection to the Internet and GPS is featured too for location finding. A camera will be fitted, offering the reasonable specification of 3.2-megapixels. Other features will include Bluetooth 2.0 for the wireless connection of accessories, a microSD card slot to expand internal memory and Microsoft Exchange support, according to the Phandroid website.
