More details have been revealed about the new XxpressMusic mobile phone from Nokia.
A new handset to be presented under the XpressMusic label has been revealed. The handset, known as the Nokia 5900, has been rumoured before on the Internet with, what was thought to be, fake accompanying images. However, a little more meat has been applied to this particular bone, according to the Nokia Mobile Talk website, which has declared that the new 5900 will share many of the same features currently found on the Nokia N97.
For example, the 5900 will have the same amount of RAM as the N97, the same processor, the same built in camera running at 5-megapixels and the very same touchscreen, spanning 3.5in and packing in 360 x 640 pixels.
One of the principle differences, however, that advance over the N97 is the inclusion of a new user interface which the website terms as the Symbian S60 5th Edition, which may actually be S60 5th Edition SP1.
As an advance over the 5800, the new 5900 will be thinner and lighter with the inclusion of a SDXC slot to support extra RAM over and above 32GB.
No release or price details were mooted.
