If good looks are an essential part of how you choose a mobile phone, the Sony Ericsson Jalou could be right up your street. Encased in a facet-cut jewel body, the Jalou's two-inch screen will magically turn into a mirror at the press of a button, presumably allowing you to top up your lippie. Talking of lipstick, Sony Eric is keen to note that the Jalou at only 73mm long is shorter than most lipsticks and will fit easily into most handbags. Every fashion conscious person wants to look good so it makes sense that the Jalou is fitted with the Walk Mate step counter to help you keep in shape, while the interface will automatically update itself with zodiac signs and other events throughout the year. Other features include a 3.2-megapixel camera, 3G, music player and built-in FM radio.
Sony Ericsson has also teamed up with fashion giants Dolce&Gabbana to produce a limited edition variant of the Jalou. Rose-coloured and with 24 carat gold plating, the Jalou by Dolce&Gabbana comes with three rose satin bags to store your accessories, including a branded headset complete with gold accents. The phone will also come loaded with exclusive photography and video clips from various fashion shows.
Both handsets will be available in Q4 of this year.
