Orange UK has announced that it will be making a Welsh edition of the Samsung S5600 mobile phone available (which will sit alongside the same 'S' series as the Light Edge). The touchscreen phone will be featured with a total of 44,000 Welsh words. Initially, the Welsh edition will be only available in shops within Wales from September 1st. However, the handset will be sold outside the territory and online later, according to the Pocket-lint website.
The Samsung S5600 with support for Welsh will be available for free with a 24-month contract and a £19.57 monthly plan or for £9.50 with a similar contract but with a £14.98 monthly plan. The phone will also be sold on prepay for £129.
To recap, available in black, pink and white, the Samsung S5600 sports a 3.2-megapixel camera complete with smile shot, Shazam's 'Find Music' service and a microSD card slot capable of housing cards of up to 8GB. The touch-screen meanwhile measures in at 2.8-inches.
