More information has been revealed regarding Sony Ericsson's new smartphone, the Rachel.
Previously rumoured to be the Xperia X5, observers now believe that the new design will, in fact, fill the Xperia X3 slot in the Sony Ericsson range.
The chassis holds a 8-megapixel camera, which was rumoured previously. Confirmation has now been given the the camera arrives with a LED flash, smile shutter and face detection and VGA video recording. Other features include quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) as well as dual-band 3G (900 / 2100 MHz) with HSDPA rated at a speedy 10Mbps and HSUPA at 2Mbps, according to the Expansys website.
Accessible via the 4in touchscreen packing in 800 x 400 pixels, the phone will feature Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, a 3.5mm headphone port, a miniUSB port plus microSDHC slot to increase the internal memory.
A release date, distribution and price details have yet to be released.
