LG's new Chocolate phone packs widescreen cinema display

No sooner has LG announced the forthcoming launch of the new LG BL40 Chocolate mobile phone (the 'BL40' bit standing for Black Label Series 4 - so why not BL4, then? - the first three being the Chocolate, Shine and Secret) and right after the delicate teasers that included the phrase 'disruptive force in conventional mobile screens' then we get some sort of explanation. The new phone will feature an advanced screen with a very large aspect ration of 21:9. In fact, this is cinema quality - a specification that many top quality LCD TVs are only just getting.

The physical size of the screen is 3in - or a little larger, according to some observers - while the display resolution, according to the Ubergizmo website, is 345 x 800.

Other features that have been spied as part of the phone include a 5-megapixel camera, GPRS and HSDPA for fast data transfer.
