O2 has officially announced that it will be shipping the Palm Pre across Europe. Nothing new there then following our story last week claiming just that. However, what has emerged is that we will have to wait until the end of the year to get our hands on it. The handset which has widely been tipped as (another) iPhone killer is the first phone to operate on the new Palm webOS mobile platform.
Sporting both a touch-screen and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, the Palm Pre is packed full of features including Wi-Fi, HSDPA, GPS, a three-megapixel camera, 3.5mm headphone port and 8GB of internal memory.
UK and Ireland customers who wish to be alerted to any further Palm Pre information and be notified when it's available can register at www.palm.com/uk-pre-notify.
We have an exclusive briefing with Palm later today so we hope to bring you more information then.
