Sony Ericsson opens online store in France

Sony Ericsson has just opened a new online store in France. It plans to open up many more in other international territories - although more details were unavailable.

When logged on, the new store allows customers to not only buy new mobile phones via the outlet but also accessories for those phones plus other related mobile products.

According to the Unwired website, all of the phones that are bought online are 'unlocked'. Of course, this brings innate benefits to the phone and its use but, because the handsets are not tied into a value for money contract deal, each handset is priced accordingly. That means that, for a top of the range smartphone, you will have to pay out top prices. For example, anyone wanting to buy a Xperia X1 mobile phone will have to fork out €649. Even the purchase of a W995 Walkman will set you back by €489.
