HTC's TouchFLO interface updated and prettier

HTC's latest update to their TouchFLO 3D skin for WinMo 6.1 devices has appeared on some Touch HD models, according to wmpoweruser.com. Rumour has it this is the version of TouchFLO that will be appearing on the upcoming Firestone smartphone, the successor to the Touch HD.

The new skin will now allow you to add Windows Mobile widgets, just like how you can add Android widgets to phones running on the operating system. There's also a new messaging system with brand new screens - no more Safe Mode-style inbox, we hope? - and new assignable shortcuts on the home screen. Still no word on exactly which devices will be supported but let's hope HTC will be kind enough to release it for any of its smart devices.
