Two pieces of related messaging news has appeared from Nokia. The first is that the Nokia Beta Labs office has announced that it has just finished and made available the Beta version of what it called Nokia Messaging - E75 IM Beta. This utility provides you with an Instant Messaging facility for your Nokia smartphone that, says the company, "is desktop-like" in its execution.
Why does it feature the E75 moniker? Because the software is currently only available for that handset at the moment. However, it will soon be compatible with other S60 class phones too.
The utility will support Ovi communities and Yahoo! Messenger. It will also offer background notifications,Yahoo-style emoticons, sounds and more. You can download the software from here.
In related news the HDBlog has reported that Nokia Messaging 10.00.14 is now compatible with the Samung Omnia HD. This has been achieved because the handset runs on Symbian S60.
