Samsung has just announced that its Innovation Quest (IQ) 2009 competition is underway and that the deadline for the competition will be on August 14th.
In the time between, the challenge has been thrown down by the company for anyone to create a Samsung Mobile Widget for the Omnia HD i8910 smartphone - which is to be sold via Orange in the UK. The Widget should be aimed at the Symbian S60 5th Edition operating system. Of course, the Widget should also be happy to utilise the included Samsung TouchWiz UI.
And what do you get for your hard endeavour? The prize, provide for by both Samsung and Symbian will offer a three tiered prize structure. So, £15,000 will be reserved for the first place, £8,000 for the second place and £5,000 for the third place, according to the Blog Catalog website.
