The iPhone couldn't do it but, no sooner has the HTC Hero been formally announced, than news has reached us that the new handset will feature Adobe's Flash that will give the new phone a full and rich browsing experience as well as allowing access to much Flash-based content on the Internet, according to the company.
HTC also announced that it has joined the Open Screen Project, collaborating with Adobe and other 25 companies in order to, "deliver a consistent runtime across screens and to provide access to all Flash technology based Web content in the future."
According to John Wang, chief marketing officer, HTC Corporation, "Adobe Flash is an important core technology for people interacting and experiencing the Web, it is only natural to be offering it on the new HTC Hero first. We look forward to continuing our close collaboration with Adobe and to bringing Flash Player 10 support to our phones in the future."
