It's out, it's out. According to Engadget Mobile, Toshiba's super-slim TG01, the first handset running the monster 1GHz CPU from Snapdragon is now available in Spain, on the local Movistar mobile network.
With a 4.1-inch WVGA touch-screen and a width just 9.9mm thin, it's the thinnest smartphone on the market yet. (For comparison's sake, mobile's golden boy, the iPhone 3G S runs on an already sufficient 600Mhz chip, and is a whole 12.3mm fat. Heifer) It's also a mighty beast with HSDPA 7.2Mbps (that's snappy downloading), HSUPA 2Mpbs (same for uploading, and an ultra, ultra, ultra fast 1Ghz Snapdragon CPU from Qualcomm for speedy UI manouvering.
Runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 oddly, despite the upgraded WinMo 6.5 being just about ready, but from what we saw at the live demo, it's been skinned with a very pretty interface from Toshiba.
No confirmation on UK launch, though 'summer' had been bandied about before.
