It was around a week ago that we saw the first image of the forthcoming Xperia X2 from Sony Ericsson and its attendant specifications. That was in a subdued black colouring. Now, new and better quality images have appeared of the new smartphone but this time in a rather brighter silver livery. Of course, this dual colour option is no great surprise because the original Xperia X1 also arrived in those same colour choices.
The chassis of the X2 is designed to operate via a classic book hinged format and, when closed, the X2 looks sleek. The phone opens to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard which will work with the included Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system.
The Xperia X2, according to the Daily Mobile website, will arrive powered by a Qualcomm MSM 7200 CPU along with 200MB of internal RAM. No release dates or price details have been mooted as yet.
