The big, bad iPhone killer otherwise known as the Palm Pre launched on June 6 in the US, exclusive to the Sprint network. Unfortunately, despite actual launch dates having been cited, Palm UK couldn't confirm a release day for the UK.
The touch-screen QWERTY smartphone runs on Palm's highly anticipated new operating system, webOS, and a powerful new CPU that Palm claims provides laptop-like juice for a fast, smooth user interface.
The Pre packs a three-meg cam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and that all important 3.5mm audio jack, and an impressive hard drive space of 8GB. And - aha moment - you can actually charge the phone wirelessly with the flagship charger from Palm's new range. How cool is that? More importantly, as cool or cooler than the iPhone?
