Philips mobile phones are becoming ever more numerous. The announcement of the Xenium X830 follows the release of other touch-screen phones such as the X810 and X800 onto the market.
It is the five-megapixel camera that is drawing attention to this latest release, as it is the first time a Philips mobile has featured a snapper with such a high spec, according to the Techfresh website.
Other features include Quad-band GSM connectivity with EDGE data speeds, GPS capabilities, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth plus entertainment in the form of a music player and an FM radio with RDS.
Only 47MB of memory has been included but this can be extended via the microSD slot.
Available soon as a European release, the Xenium X830's price is yet to be announced.
