Samsung is due to announce the upgrading of the popular Samsung Armani mobile phone to incorporate the newly completed Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system. The existence of the new version of the handset was first mooted in February when Samsung talked about "refreshing" its Armani line-up.
Likely to be initially released into the Italian market, the new version of the Armani will, according to the Ubergizmo website, be announced officially by Samsung on June 11th, with the official unveiling occurring in Milan. Other possible new features added to the phone, in addition to the operating system upgrade, have yet to be revealed. Observers have stated, however, that the new version of the Armani may likely be tagged as the Samsung Armani Pro. The same observers are also musing on the rumours that the Armani Pro will arrive with a slide out QWERTY keyboard, in a similar fashion to the LG Prada II. No price details have been released.
