The forthcoming HTC mobile phone, which was first seen here and which will incorporate the popular Android operating system, will not only be handled via Orange in Europe, a decision that had already been established, after a leak via an executive speaking from Orange France, but will be sold via the company, including the UK, on an exclusive basis.
As such, according to the Pocket Lint website, the Hero should be the very first handset, from Orange, to feature the Android software. This will follow, in the UK, previous Android-based mobiles such as T-Mobile's G1 and the Vodafone-backed HTC Magic.
The Hero itself will offer HSDPA for fast data transfer, a built in camera with a reasonable specification of 3-megapixels, Bluetooth for wireless connections of accessories such as a headset plus a 3.5mm socket which will please music fans and allow the attachment of external headphones.
