Internet on a budget is the message from Nokia with the announcement of three stylish yet "affordable" handsets. The Nokia 2730 classic, 2720 fold and 7020 are all set to go on sale under the £80 mark though we'll have to wait until H2 2009 to get our mitts on them.
The Nokia 2730 classic is billed as being the manufacturer's "most affordable 3G phone" with an RRP of just €80 (£70 approx.). Candybar in design, the phone is scheduled to begin shipping in the third quarter of 2009.
The Nokia 2720 fold sports a mirror-effect design while its onboard EDGE data speed capability ensures you will have easy access to both email and the internet. With an RRP of €50 (£44 approx.), the 2720 fold is also expected to start selling in the third quarter of 2009.
Finally the Nokia 7020 is another clamshell device that sports EDGE capabilities and a two-megapixel camera. However, there's far more strings to this phones bow, with a stardust effect kicking in each time you get a call or message, while a quick double tap will illuminate the handsets cover. The Nokia 7020 is expected to arrive later in Q4, with an estimated retail price of €90 (£79).
Nokia has also just announced pricing information for the Nokia 5800 Comes With Music device, though don't expect to get much change from £300 for that particular handset.
