T-Mobile plans slew of Android phones

T-Mobile USA has confirmed plans to launch a whole bunch of Android phones with three manufacturer partners, according to Mobile Burn.

There may also be a low-end handset running on Android, Google's open-source operating system that's been causing waves of hype in techy circles, despite being on all of two phones thus far - the T-Mobile G1 which has apparently sold over a million units in the US, and the recently released and rather awesome HTC Magic.

T-Mobile USA's Chief Technology Officer Cole Brodman also hinted at some Android-powered netbooks, saying HP and Dell both had demo versions.

No word on whether any or all of these Android plans will reach the UK but as Google CEO Eric Schmidt has mentioned 'quite significant' partnerships with manufacturers, it seems very likely.
