T-Mobile's successful MDA range now boasts five devices with the announcement of the MDA Compact V. Available for free on a £50 per month contract, the handset is devilishly handsome having been based on the jaw-dropping HTC Touch Diamond2, with T-Mobile's own user interface inserted. Controlled via the 3.2-inch touch-screen, the MDA Compact V is the first T-Mobile device to feature internet widgets that will send updates as soon as that information becomes available. For example, receive the latest headlines as they happen from BBC News, updates from your Twitter companions or stay on top of your eBay bids.
As with the Touch Diamond2, the T-Mobile MDA Compact V operates on Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.1 technology (an update to 6.5 will be available from September) meaning access to Microsoft Outlook, as well as the ability to open and send Word, Excel and PowerPoint attachments. A five-megapixel camera is onboard for all your snapping needs, while there's also a seven day CoPilot trial to aid you in getting from A to B.
The T-Mobile MDA Compact V is available from 21 May from T-Mobile stores and online at www.t-mobile.co.uk.
