Microsoft to release Windows over air updates?

A new job application has appeared on the Microsoft website that hints at a new improvement to the Windows Mobile operating system that will allow mobile users with a Windows-based phone to receive automatic updates of the Windows operating system OTA (Over The Air).

The job description text includes the following, “Have you wished to see your Windows Mobile phone with new features “magically” show up without you buying a new one? Do you want to see greater and better quality and cool software delivered to your love ones’ Windows phones from just a click?”

What is unknown, at this time, is if the inferred new update service will be appearing for the forthcoming release of the much anticipated Windows 6.5 operating system or if we will ultimately have to wait for the release of the next iteration, which should be version 7.
