Motorola to release fitness mobile phone

Motorola has announced a new mobile phone that will be targeted towards fitness - a growing software trend that was recently seen applied to the iPhone. This makes a change from the recent bias towards music-oriented handsets. Known as the MOTOROKR W6, the new phone includes software applications that will aid you in your quest to become and stay fit. The phone asks you to enter specific details about yourself, such as your age, sex, weight, and theight and then the application will tailor a suitable exercise regimen.

According to the Phone Arena website, with the handset you will be able to store the duration of your aerobic sequences and the number of burned calories. Once done, you will be able to bring your PC into play by exporting the data from the W6 into an Excel spreadsheet in order to further monitor your progress.

Other phone features include a basic 1.3-megapixel camera, microSD support for up to 2GB, stereo Bluetooth and dedicated music keys.
