Nokia developing new XpressMusic mobile phone?

After recent reports that Nokia is working on the release of several touchscreen handsets, specific news has been leaked of one phone that will sit within the XpressMusic phone range. To be known as the Nokia 5530, the new handset is reported to be a smaller and, thus, cheaper version of the popular Nokia 5800 which will enable the company to target those users who aspire to owning a 5800.

According to the Daily Mobile website, the new handset is targeted at a release date during September and will include a 2.9 inch touchscreen display which compares to the 5800's larger 3.2 inch screen.

Other proposed features for the 5530 include an interface that will sit upon the 5th edition of Symbian S60, Wi-Fi for wireless connections to the Internet, a built in camera with a reasonable specification of 3.2-megapixels, a 3.5mm headphone socket for music fans plus further entertainment via FM radio plus RDS.  Internal memory will be just 150MB but expansion will be available via a microSD slot.
