If you're a real phone sadist, you'll probably have met your match in the Samsung Solid Extreme, which can survive drops of up to two meters, and full water submersion up to one meter.
That's right - Samsung says whether you drop the Extreme into white water rapids or just a toilet bowl, it'll be good as new once you fish it out.
That's without sacrificing too much of its good looks and specs - the Extreme has a large keypad with rubber grip, and weighs in at just 103grams, and a not-too-chunky 113x48.9x17.4mm. It features acoustic noise-cancellation so you'll be able to hear loud and clear in noisy places, a one-touch torchlight, and an "extremely loud speaker". In a token stab at multimedia, the handset also has a microSD slot, 1.3-megapixel camera, video, MP3 player and FM radio.
Available in red and black on Vodafone, O2 and major retailers.
It may be tough, but is it as tough as the Sonim XP3 Enduro, which survived us running a bus over it?
