Another day another Sony Ericsson Walkman phone. This time it's a low end musical maestro but with high end looks. The W205 is a stylish slider with all the usual trimmings of a Walkman player, FM radio and TrackID to help identify all those unknown songs you hear. There's also a speaker phone function and 1.3-megapixel camera that can also record video. While Bluetooth is also onboard, probably the most bizarre of all the features is the multiple phone books function. The idea is that you can group various contacts together and keep them separate from other groups. Sony Ericsson claims it will prove useful when lending your phone to other people, but we think it would prove much more profitable grouping your business and social contacts separately, as we don't know about you but we're not big on lending our phone to anyone for a large period of time.
Sony Ericsson has also used the opportunity to unveil the MS410 Snap-on Speaker Stand that is compatible with all Walkman handsets. Discreetly assembled, the MS410 offers integrated FM radio antenna and a video and music stand.
The Sony Ericsson W205 will be available from Q3 in Ambient Black, while the MS410 Snap-on Speaker Stand will be on sale in the coming months.
