We're big fans of slide-out QWERTY keyboards round these parts. So the new Samsung Impression, unveiled at last week's CTIA wireless conference, is a nice treat. A slide-out QWERTY sits pretty beneath an even prettier 3.2-inch AMOLED wide-screen display. Touch-screen, to boot.
According to Akihabara News, The Impression also has a good-enough three-megapixel camera, GPS, HSDPA for fast downloads and an accelerometer, which means the phone should be able to switch beneath landscape and portrait orientations, and support some cool motion-sensor games as well.
It all runs on Samsung's highly customisable new TouchWiz widget-based user interface as seen in the Beat DJ and Beat Edition handsets.
