Already downloaded RIM's new application store? Well why not make the most of Shazam's offer of a 60 day free trial of their music discovery application. Shazam enables you to identify music by simply holding your BlackBerry to the radio, TV, film or even in a shop and by using the ‘Tag Now' option Shazam will inform you of the title of the track and the artist performing it. You will then be able to immediately purchase the track through Amazon or other online retailers, as well as discover music from similar genres. Users can then share their new found music with friends by sending ‘tags' via SMS, email or BlackBerry PIN messaging.
Shazam is offering a 60 day trial of a full-featured version to anyone who downloads the application between 1 April and 31 May. Following the end of the trial, users can continue using the application for a one off payment of £5, or alternatively they can continue using the service for free, although this will be limited in terms of accessible features.
Other applications that are expected to be available from BlackBerry App World include offerings from Lonely Planet, MTV Networks, WorldMate and Viigo.
