A new version of the popular web browser, Opera, is to be is to be unveiled at the forthcoming CTIA Wireless 2009 show in Las Vegas, which is due to open its doors on April 1st and will run through to April 3rd.
The latest browser update, version 9.7, will include a range of improvements along with the inclusion of Opera Turbo, according to the company. Turbo is the name of the built-in compression engine that can squeeze information by a total of 80% which helps mobile carriers to reduce unwanted traffic and allows Opera users to enjoy a faster connection - even if the network itself is not particular swift.
Opera 9.7 will also include another module, Presto 2.2 which handles rendering tasks within the main browser and is already used in the desktop variant of the program, Opera 10. Other improvements will include support for dynamic Web technologies such as Flash or Ajax.
