We don't want to jump the gun but we wanted to share the latest rumours about an impending follow up to the iPhone 3G. According to Boy Genius Report a summer launch seems likely, but what's really got us psyched is the prospect of a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard. While this would seem an unusual move for a manufacturer who has pioneered the touch-screen revolution, perhaps Apple are hoping that such a move would placate the touch-screen doubters.
Other rumours suggest we can expect a higher specced camera complete with auto-focus (currently at only two-megapixels this would seem a good bet), while the ability to record video will also be new to iPhone customers. Whatever the next generation iPhone brings, be it a Nano-like device or indeed QWERTY keyboard sporting, one thing we would put our mortgage on is that it will be operating on the recently announced version 3.0 operating system.
