Nokia's multitasking smartphone the E63 is now available to customers without the need of being tied down to a contract. As an exclusive to Virgin Mobile, prepay customers can buy the handset for £149.99 with unlimited 3G internet access for 30p a day (though a fair usage policy of 25MB per day applies). It marks the first 3G full QWERTY handset available to the network. Customers will also be able to enjoy free mobile Instant Messenger for six months.
The Nokia E63 is the younger sibling of the excellent E71 that won the prestigious award of Phone of the Year at the Mobile Choice Consumer Awards last year. As well as its 3G capabilities and QWERTY keyboard, the E63 features a two-megapixel camera, music player, FM radio, Wi-Fi and expandable memory. It's also catered for straight forward email access through Gmail, Yahoo and from April, Hotmail.
