Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is like E-series with tunes

We smell a theme - Nokia's recently announced 5730 XpressMusic is jam-packed with social networking features with access to sites such as Facebook, Myspace and Nokia's own network platform, Ovi.

It's a mid-ranger but somewhat reminscent of Nokia's cult favourite E-series smartphones and runs on Symbian S60. Though not touch-enabled like its predecessor, the 5800 XpressMusic, its full slide-out QWERTY will make for some mighty fast texting and emailing.

Like a good little music handset, it's connected to Nokia Music Store, has a 3.5mm audio jack and comes with an 8GB microSD card.

Along with its music specs, it's also equipped with social networking features including preloaded Facebook, Ovi Contacts, Nokia Maps and instant messaging, as well as N-Gage, Nokia's gaming platform, plus dedicated gaming keys.

Extras are the FM radio and 3.2-megapixel snapper with a Carl Zeiss lens. No HSDPA, but there is 3G and video call support.

Available in Q3 for around 280 euros (UK price to be confirmed).
