Google has officially joined the Twitter blogging service via a staff member called ‘Googler' who has proffered news about App and dashboard changes as well as promoting Google Toolbar.
Some observers believed that the company's first blog to the public was too clever for its own good. Google published the following binary message: "I'm 01100110 01100101 01100101 01101100 01101001 01101110 01100111 00100000 01101100 01110101 01100011 01101011 01111001 00001010″. Of course, we don't have to tell you what this means. However, for those who are a little rusty, the message stated, 'feeling lucky'.
Reports say that traffic to Twitter has trebled in 2009 and increased 27-fold during the past year. According to The Telegraph website, those figures are set to rise as many users access third-party applications on their mobile phones, such as TweetDeck and Twitterific, to utilise Twitter and manage their accounts, rather than visiting Twitter.com directly. In addition, some future mobiles, such as the INQ2, will come with Twitter pre-installed.
