Rumours are circulating that Nokia, like Asustek, is developing a laptop with mobile internet capabilities.
Code-named Sparrow, the new device will apparently feature elevated, diamond-shaped keys. Featuring a widget-based interface, the new Sparrow is reported to also include a touch-screen that allows users to interact with the application for loading and saving purposes, according to the Unwired website.
There have been plenty of rumours surrounding the entry of Nokia into the laptop market. Now those rumours are firming into fact. Chief executive Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo said in an interview to Finnish national broadcaster YLE on Wednesday (25 February): 'We are looking very actively at this opportunity,' when asked about the company's venture into laptop production.
As we have already reported, Kallasvuo has already commented on the increasing technology convergence of the two industries, making the development of a new laptop an inevitable one.
