A new mobile phone from Sony Ericsson has been outed with the leaking of a new set of specifications. The design, to be known as the Sony Ericsson Hikaru, will be a slider configuration that will resemble the W910 - some observers have mooted that the official designation may be the W923.
The general specification is pretty good with a built in memory of 8Gb to handle a range of music, videos and images. The phone, which features a 2.6in display, will be rated as a Walkman and will feature version 4.0 of the music software. To accompany the software, the chassis will include stereo speakers plus dedicated music keys to make music file access easier.
Due for release sometime around the second quarter of this year, the new design will also include a 3.5mm headphone socket which will be a relief to Sony Ericsson veterans, used to the clunky headphone adaptors of yore.
