New Garmin-Asus nüvifone M20 announced

We've just heard news of the new nüvifone M20, from the recently announced collabo between sat-nav specialists Garmin and chip-maker Asus. This powerful, sat nav touch-screen phone will run on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional with enterprise email and can access the internet through both Wi-Fi and super-fast HSDPA.

The big USP here is its location-based services (LBS). You'll get real-time traffic info, weather, local events and movie times, plus access to White Pages – so you'll be alerted to the restaurants and businesses in your area.

Of course, no decent LBS-enabled phone would be without the ability to let you stalk your friends and acquaintances. The M20 features Ciao!, an app that links numerous location-based social networks, which lets you see all your friends' locations on a map and navigate to them.

Business features include push-email, Active Sync with Outlook and MS Office, and a pleasing 4GB or 8GB storage.

It's the second phone in the nüvifone series, after the flagship G60, which was announced last year but never released. Both devices will be on display at Mobile World Congress where, why yes, we will be. Look out for tons of video demos, product images and blogging updates, here on Mobile Choice.
