Samsung has jumped the gun by unveiling its 2009 flagship device prior to Mobile World Congress (MWC). The Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition is the first ever device to sport both a full touch-screen and a standard 3x4 button keypad. The handset takes a slider format but remains an impressive 12.7mm thin. The 2.8-inch screen consists of an Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode (AMOLED) display, meaning a more vibrant crisper viewing experience. Having already seen the Tocco Ultra Edition in action we can vouch that visually it is indeed stunning, especially when viewing movies and photos.
The camera itself has eight megapixels, with a dual power LED flash and smile shot function, while users will be able to record DVD-quality VGA video at 30fps. Other features of this highly capable handset include GPS navigation complete with geo-tagging, which allows you to record the exact position you take the pic, along with HSDPA internet access of up to 7.2Mbps.
